if you haven't watched it, do not read, but go watch now.

i had to watch this excellent episode today, should've watched it on monday, my mum thinks that feckin bid t.v. is better, go figure.

so anyway, after watching all of the episodes one by one, this was the best by quite a bit, the kick ass cyberwoman episode coming in second. the first part of the double bill, excellent, it showed jack at his more relaxed state, owen doing his weevil thing and it pushed the boundaries of the show even further as it should do and as it always does.

the second episode... wow, just wow, jack goes down, gets back up, goes down again (reads like the teletubies but if ya watch it, freakin brilliant) and then you hear the line from the first episode again, "a special kind of doctor" what jack had said that he needed to find, then we hear the marvellous whirring of the "time and relative dimensions in space" machine (... "t.a.r.d.i.s." morons) and he is gone, does this mean what we have been hoping? is jack going to finally go back with the doctor? a toughie, if so then that would be the best kept secret in doctor who, even more tighter than the catherine tate one (we all know what happened don't we? at the end of the taping of the final episode, tate, tennant and the bare minimum of the crew were snuck in to film the final scene with dona)

but then we must think about something, conflict, jack will be wondering "who the hell is this guy? why does he have the t.a.r.d.i.s.? and who the hell is martha jones?" because jack knew the last doctor, but then again, so did toshiko (you'll need to think back until the time when the spaceship crashed into london, the pig thing came out and who was the doctor operating on it? who was attacked by the pig? who did the doctor grab and help out of the building? toshiko sato.)

something that you'll notice about the episode is that you did not actually see the t.a.r.d.i.s. this shows that while torchwood is a doctor who spinoff it is not linked to it.

well that's all for this time, the new series will be on near the end of the year and the new series of doctor who will be on in about summer as i'm told\
